Housing in the Denali area is extremely limited and those who choose to live in employee housing are required to follow the rules and policies set forth in our Employee Housing Agreement.  Violations of the stipulations included within our Employee Housing Agreement can result in the loss of both housing privileges and employment.  In addition, all employees are required to abide by the “Quiet Hours” rules, and to portray a common courtesy to everyone residing in housing, with the understanding that living areas are small and not soundproof.  Therefore, a respect for fellow employees working a variety of shifts, around the clock, is an absolute necessity.

All company owned property, to include Employee Housing, has a zero tolerance drug-free policy, to include all cannabis products.  Alcohol possession and consumption is permitted within designated “21 & Over” resident units, but such privileges do incorporate rules and regulations which are clearly outlined within in the Employee Housing Agreement, and must be strictly followed.

Note:  A limited number of employees beneath the age of 21 may be permitted to live in housing, but only within designated “21 & Under” resident units.  Note:  A limited area within housing may also be designated for employees looking for more of a quiet living environment.

Note: Pets are not permitted in the employee housing.

It is important to remember that Denali is located in a very rural area of Alaska, and therefore offers very limited options for shopping and services.  If you require specific personal items such as medications or certain hygiene products, which may not be readily available for purchase in a “convenience” type of store, please plan to bring such items to Denali with you. In addition, if you have special dietary needs, your food options may be limited and we may not be able to accommodate certain dietary requests.  Vegetarian options are available within our Employee Dining Rooms, but are generally limited.

Employee Dining:

Our Employee Dining Room (EDR) offers 3 meals daily. While our Chefs work very hard to provide creative and healthy options, it can be very challenging to accommodate all meal restrictions, meal choices and needs. Therefore, if you have strict dining requests, we suggest that you plan accordingly. Menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner are posted a week in advance and there is a small market 10 miles away. A weekly scheduled shuttle to the store is available for our employees through the Employee Housing Department. A salad bar is provided at the lunch and dinner times for a healthy option and a vegetarian option is also available. All employees are required to participate in the meal plan; no exceptions may be granted. Cooking is not allowed in the dormitories.
